I have already examined scenarios of the Red attack - Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba/Venezuela, possibly with the collaboration of Iran. The outcome is not in favor of the world democracy.
But what will happen if, after all, the Red countries do not attack in a foreseeable future?
Last year there was a report in Ria Novosti by a strategic researcher, professor and former military etc., that by 2012 - 2015 USA will be able to neutralize the Russian nuclear deterrent by non-nuclear hi-tech weapons. What does it mean? That is not limited to the current level of technology employed in stealth or tomahawks. That includes the space based strike weapons, space planes that could fly between orbit and athmosphere, lasers, HAARP, and perhaps the shrouded in mystery Nano technology. That is the capability to produce miniaturized robots on nano-scales (= molecular scales; micro scales = computer chip) in great quantities employing the process of molecular manufacturing - layered molecular build up of pre-designed objects. In a matter of hours a self-replicate molecular machine can produce an army of nano-robots, once the process is achieved. Enough in numbers - millions of them, and at a level of capabilities of the unmanned drones, the nano-robots will easily pass thru any existing defense and will eat up any mastodon missiles. The already existing unmanned drones are very popular in USA and Israel. Still these drones are too big, whether or not they incorporate nanotechnology inside. The real nano-robots will be much smaller, even invisible, comparable to the big complex molecules or something like that. For understandable reasons, all that is kept in deepest possible security and silence. Scientific publications reach the point to describe how such a nano-molecule can "walk", or how a "nano-radio" can be successfully implanted in the brain. Imagine - not visible molecule that performs all the tasks of a big radio. Imagine that molecule with computer capabilities. Then imagine - with flying drone capabilities. "Terminator-3" will be a movie for kids compared to that.
We do not know the real level USA and others have reached. Center of responsible nanotechnology describes scenarios between superpowers in the race to be the first ones to obtain that technology. Obviously the first one who manages to produce an army of nano-robots, will easily invade the competitors that might be only days behind the schedule. It is similar in logic to the race for nuclear weapons. Only it is different in quality and much faster in development. The nuclear weapons allowed a stockpile for deterrent, while the nano-army cannot afford to stay in deterrent - it will become obsolete too fast by the competitor.
If Russia openly admits that danger starting from year 2012, and therefore notifies USA that they know about 2012 danger, that means the real situation would reach the critical point much earlier. That means Russia and her red allies must attack far ahead of the deadline, after which their attack with the existing weapon systems would be impossible. That report was published last year - one full year in which we have seen may things, yet we have not seen anything closer to a large attack, except in words.
Whether Russia has anything closer to the molecular manufacturing, is still a question. They are generally behind USA in microchips, so one could expect they are behind USA also in the more complex nano-tech. But one cannot be absolutely sure. Putin announced in the media he allocated billions for nano-tech research. That announcement must serve at least for a warning Putin is pretty much aware what is going on on that hi-tech front.
Russian recent publications admitted the existence of space lasers in 1980s - the same kind that Boeing produces now. Still it is a very different kind of technology. One does not need nano technology that emerges only after the micro technology (computers), in order to have successful space based lasers. Despite all talks on the contrary, Russia is known to be a leader in orbital systems. Today's ISS is mostly Russian made, especially for key components. Experts say USA is behind with 10 or more years. The same is not valid for the space lift devices where USA is much more advanced. That makes it possible for USA to put offensive space planes in orbit before Russia.
Again the same question rises - can Russia afford to wait until the US space planes are capable to strike any point at any time with no notice within 2-3 minutes from space, including by nuclear and laser weapons? The answer is of course NO.
The attempts of including at least the space based weapons in START negotiations, hit the rock for now. The same with the attempts to limit the US antimissile systems. I.e. while speaking of democracy, freedom of religion, non-proliferation, and cut of existing arms, USA is secretly preparing the next stage of the arms race. USA and its allies will be unparalleled in that new technology, long enough to strike first and neutralize the competitors' existing deterrents. That is perhaps in close collaboration with countries hi-tech centers like Israel, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, which will serve as a back up if USA is stricken unexpectedly.
Taking in account that very real danger (yet still unknown by the larger public), I suggest Russia and its allies will strike first very soon. They could do that by following one of the several possible scenarios - either thru a proxy like N.Korea or Iran, or unnamed terrorists, or a direct strike, or any combination of these, in the years 2009-2011. More likely to be sooner than later. The publications of scientist (a former KGB) about disintegration of USA that have been given a broad spread by the government of Putin only fuel that suspicion. The words of Putin himself in 2007 comparing Bush to Hitler and warning for a preemptive strike, warning of an existential question for USA, plus the words of top generals in the same style, along with the actual moves of sending nuclear armed ships and planes to the Caribbean in late 2008, the constant flyby of nuclear armed bombers in the arctic, and the constant test of heavy ICBMs, show the last warnings have already been given, pretty much officially, pretty much as an ultimatum. Unfortunately, there is NO VISIBLE POSITIVE REACTION FROM USA, even after Obama took power. North Korea is a test. Iran is a test. Iraq is a test. ABM is yet another test. None of these hot spots shows USA willing to back off from Bush doctrine. To top all of that, the financial crisis started from Wall street endangers to stripe the world from cash, including the Russian forex reserve - the 3rd in the world. Until now, it seems Obama administration is not willing seriously to back off from what Bush reached - a 'de facto' position for starting WW3. There are no withdrawals from Iraq, nor from the "Israeli" idea how dangerous Iran is, despite Israel is armed to the teeth and put Russia in range as well. Indeed if Israel possess thermonuclear hydrogen bombs and missiles/submarines for their delivery, it could perform a devastating first strike on Russian mainland, better than the way Castro would strike USA in 1962. Perhaps the Israeli warheads are not only 100, but 1000 or 3000 - no one has ever counted them, not the Russians for sure. One must expect the worst. Israeli scholar warned even Europe it could potentially be hit if the things grow too bad for Israel.
In the absence of any positive move on the US side - and it is far not enough the nice rhetoric of Obama how he has a dream of a nuke free world, in that absence of a concrete engagement in serious and substantial negotiations that produce binding and verifiable agreements similar to the Cold War treaties, the preemptive attack is the only option of the Red allies left for their own survival. Surely it will be coordinated between all the players. In that light, Kim is not looking anymore as an 'insane old man who wants to die as a hero', rather a pragmatic leader who envisions far greater role for his country in the post war world order. The same is valid for Ahmadinejad and Chavez. The same is valid for a number of EU leaders who seemingly prefer cooperation with Russia at any cost, contrary to any unified position of EU/NATO. Here come Berlusconi and Sarkozy, but not only.

Following is an abstract map of the possible outcome of the Russian "exercises" in Caucasus - Black Sea. That could become the perfect excuse for operation to neutralize the deadly Israeli arsenal of thermonuclear weapons that could strike in the back when less expected. But that means WW3, would say many. Yes, it means so! If the Reds do not start it, USA is already the winner! And we could declare Obama as the beast of the Revelation with 99% assurance we are right! He will rule the world, only he will miss a temple to desecrate... And if that is at a certain level an absurd, that leaves the only other option on the table - all those diverse leaders (plus the Europeans) agree to act together to eliminate America as a superpower and to establish a New World Order for ~3 years 2009 - 2012.
I put the names Gog and Magog on the graphs only for reference, because many expect Russia to be that one. Still, notice we do not know who Gog and Magog are, what the US role in the prophecy is, and which countries will appear to be the Beast's 7 heads and 10 horns at the end of the day.It seems perfectly logical Russia and its allies to attack now, apart of any prophecy. Then we will see who's who in the prophecy, depending on who will win. If America contrary to all expectations wins after the first combined strike of Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Chavez..., if America survives and even wins, then Obama has every chance to become the Antichrist ruling the entire world. Or any of Obama's deputies, if that matters. Do not write off America from the prophecy yet - it is impossible such apocalyptic prophecies as of Ezekiel, Daniel and John, predicting millenia in the future, NOT TO take into account the world superpower at the End Times! Whoever states so, is either not proficient in prophecy, or follows someone's agenda!
The possible places for America in the End Time Prophecy are pretty much limited to 2 - either Babylon the Great, or one of the Beast's heads, or perhaps a combination of both if it is proved 9/11 and the coming destruction of New York are insider jobs.
And let not attach to America angels' wings, as if acting on Archangel Michael's direct orders...because the same could be said for Russia with its one thousand years Christianity, and would be closer to the truth. If we cannot accept that as a truth, we should not accept the Harlot's abortion mills to be under Archangel's commands either! No matter what Bush "heard" and from "whom". That puts only a big question mark as which orders Bush followed - perhaps those of the "man of the sin".
In Fatima Our Lady predicted: "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world." In Medjugorje, Our Lady has said that the Russian people will be the ones who will glorify God most.
